I've always wondered if we are slowly starting to enter or that we are in a new historical era. The contemporary period, which is our current historical period, started in 1914 and a lot of things has happened in the meantime like a growing cultural presence, the technology advancing like crazy, the nuclear power that makes its appearance, etc.
