I play 3-star 4k and the difference in 3-3.4 and 3.5-3.8 is insane. What should I do to read maps like beatmapsets/173612#mania/420781 3.82 star and beatmapsets/1964319#mania/4096787 3.72 star

Don't rely on the star rating of maps.
Some of them are really under ranked (too low) or over ranked (too high).
I remember playing the first map and it felt like it belonged in the mid 4* range.
