So I'd like to add a video to my beatmap, but the problem is, The video is too huge! When the vid is converted into a .osz file, is it compressed? Or do I have to manually shrink its size?

Also, how do I remove the audio completely from the video? I tried using AoA Audio Extractor, it removed the audio from the video alright, but the file size of the video without the audio didn't change at all.

Thanks

Use avisynth, set audio to false, encode in megui/virtualdub or a command line. meGUI is pretty intuitive.

You should manually re-encode and shrink the size first.

Ah I have virtual dub, but I'm pretty clueless on how to use it properly to re-encode, and to what code should it be re-encoded to? Sorry, pretty new to video conversion :?

I think osu supports xvid and not h264 (?) so use that in an AVI container.

As for the process, it is fairly simple but might be a bit trick at first, I suggest you just search around on Google, it'll beat me explaining everything here in a post.

Thanks! Found a neato tut and turned my 300 mb vid clip to a 12 mb vid clip! =D

Quality is questionable but not awful

Care to share how? It won't upload my 35MB video.
UPDATE: I found a good flv converter with GUI:
