[Archived] Custom hitsounds not working

Problem details:
I added custom hitsounds for my map, but they don't play. Yes, I have the "Use skin's sound samples" on, but my sound samples just don't play, and I keep hearing the default hitsounds. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I re-checked all of the hitsound sample names and tried to fix it in however I could with my lack of knowledge about the editor.

(Also, if it helps, it's an osu!mania map, and maybe the hitsounds work different in osu!mania)

Did you add the sounds to the beatmap folder? Also is "Ignore beatmap hitsounds" active when you are playing?

I added the hitsounds to the folder, yet it doesn't work. "Ignore beatmap hitsounds" is off when I play, but it still doesn't change the hitsounds to what I selected. Maybe the problem is the file names or something, but I geniunely have no idea.
