I am sorry if somebody already covered that in some other thread, but I couldn't find any advice on this theme. So my problem is making streams or streams in alt maps specifically. I am seeking some advice on a better way or a more effective way of placing notes or sliders (that I change into notes) in stream patterns. I find it really annoying, awful, or simply nonplayable (I mean, you can play it, but it doesn't have the same feeling as other and better maps, for example, Gas Gas Gas, Bookmaker, or HiT! HiT! HiT!). On top of that, it's really annoying to make. If somebody has some ideas on that theme or has some experience of making alt maps, I would really appreciate some advice from a mapping perspective, that means the style and process of making those streams.

Thought there's already an answer for this orz

As someone who who mostly freehand streams (aka. placing everything by hand, maybe with DS added along but that's the only tool needed), I can't really have any say about how to effectively place stream.

However, I think I can share which basis I'm going for to place everything this way. Usually I have to keep note to myself that stream is also a way of representing music. And by that I mean all the shapes, the flow change, spacing, kicksliders etc. are all accounted for.

Sounds obvious, but I recall myself used to not even noticed that in the first glance and they ended up looking awful even for my past self's standard. It's not until I look back and try to remap the whole thing that I realize such.
