Probably very rare since being able to get close to 300pp scores will put u closer to mid 5 digit than 6 digit
I will say i got really close with this map https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/1054931#osu/2204234 but i choked before and after the diff spike to nerves, was still my top play at the time, though it would have got me to 5 digit if fc, maybe u could grind this?
A random 6 digit could derank and set 300pp that way though so it doesnt matter really

Depends, a 300 can be achieved at 6 digit if you are a DT one trick but at the same time its still rare
When I was 110k~, I reverse choked & choked a 300pp play on the full version of bass slvt. I really think that if I tryharded the map, I could have had min. 260pp, but a 300pp would be pretty challenging since the map is more than 5 minutes...
I wouldn't be surprised if a 6 digit managed to have a 300pp play right now, it's very hard but possible actually

People tend to already be 5 digit by the time they set a 300pp play but even then most lower 5 digit players don't even have 300pp in their top plays. 6 digits that can set a 300pp play could pretty easily rank up to 5 digit since I'm 5 digit and only have 1 300pp play.

Honestly, the entire skill range of players has improved so much these past couple of years, not to mention the number of farm maps newer players have. In 2019 you could get 59k and not even have a single 200PP play (roughly 3,764PP).
I'm confident in saying that lower-end 6 digits (100,000-150,000) can potentially pull off a 300PP play if they are dedicated enough. I'll probably link to some profiles of 6 digits that have 300PP plays (I love looking at random profiles, idk why, and of course don't harass these people)

Absolutely doable. Quite rare, but not as rare as it used to be when I joined the game (those were completely different times in terms of rank/highest pp norms). I mean, you're a 6 digit, and you already have 218pp score. Back in the day that would be wild
