So. It's been 10 years since I first began this game, and I've yet to do a proper introduction. I've put this off till the last second (as with most of my projects), but I feel that this needs to be done. If you only want the basics about me, without any of the history, just scroll to the bottom.
Story of how I found the game:
I have decided to release a map for my 10th anniversary, constituting of the one and only track I ever produced. Music production is probably fun, but just using preset samples becomes soul-sucking very quickly.
This game has been fun for me over the last decade, and while I am getting a bit tired of the game by now, I'm not ready to kick the bucket yet.
And now, the (admittedly brief) section that you actually want to see:

Games I play: this is the only thing I ever play
Life situation: looking for work, trying to stay upbeat about the state of the world
I mostly play with Easy mod, regardless of mode. I also have been mapping for around 7 years, but it can get a bit...agitating to make maps that are rankable. Still, it's fun to just make them. And that's all I'm going to say here, because otherwise I'm just going to end up dumping my life story here, which would not be ideal for anyone.

I discovered this game through a now-deleted video on lesslunatic (Lunah's old channel), and was immediately drawn into it. At the time, I didn't know what "anime" was, or what most people liked. Considering the fact that I was 9 and was still new to the internet in 2012, that's to be expected. Regardless, I kept viewing the best players, be it Cookiezi, rrtyui, or, at the time, SilviA. After several months of this I eventually decided to make an account. Unfortunately (or fortunately I guess), I was an idiot and couldn't figure out how to make an account. So my first account name, "CookHardMan" never came to be. Eventually, I gave up, and moved on with my life. Later on (now in 2013), I saw the name "laport" at the bottom of a leaderboard (I think it was something on MoonShade's channel). And I felt motivated to just...try again. I figured out how to make an account this time, and I guess I never really looked back.
