UPDATE: it was DISCORD OVERLAY
disABLE IT!! BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR MAPS!!
step by step of events:
-I open osu!
-play a little (happens even if i dont)
-alt-tab to read discord dms
-tab back in
-black screen flickers
-everything starts to bug out
-osu! crashed
-reopen
-update window appears
-osu boots
-logged out of osu :dread:
-sign back in
-every setting is reverted to defaults
-try to do anything that isnt like scrolling or something very minimal
-entire screen goes black
-whole pc freezes and audio loops
-forced hard shut down
-repeated steps above happened again but this time during the welcome screen it freezes
-this time it couldnt sign me into windows and logs me into a temp user giving me a heart attack thinking my hdd bugged out from a hard shutdown
-resign in
-scared to run osu! again
..what is happening?!?!
i DID recently install new hardware (gpu, mb, cpu,) but they are all very high end parts and work great with other games such as Apex
Could it be something AMD related?
specific specifications specifically:
i5-12400f
amd ryzen 6650xt 8gb
trident z 32gb 3200mhz (xmp enabled)
cooling is not a issue cause i have like 6 arctic p12s
