- This is a 1v1 osu!standard tournament with team sizes consisting of 1 player.
- Only players from the United States are allowed to participate
- Players will register individually
- If you are a current resident of the United States but don’t have the US flag, message staff and an exception could be made. - Players cannot have participated in a previous iteration of the osu! World Cup.
- Players must be ranked #5,000 or higher before the start of the tournament.
- All matches shall be played using Head to Head, ScoreV2.
- The top 32 players from qualifiers will move to a double-elim bracket stage.
- Scheduling will be done in UTC.
- All reschedules must be submitted before 23:59 UTC, Friday the week a round is due to happen. Reschedules beyond that point are to be case-by-case.
- Players are required to join the Discord for this tournament
- Staff are not allowed to play in the tournament with the exception of streamers, commentators, and GFX artists.
- Eliminated players are permitted to become referees, playtesters, and/or replayers.
Qualifiers Procedures:
- In the event of a disconnection, an abort/replay may be called if it occurred within the first 30 seconds of the map. Other than that, common sense will be applied. If proof exists of the disconnected player’s score (or a rough estimate of their hypothetical score if they finished the map), it will be used. If it is at all ambiguous, that player’s score shall be considered zero. Each team is granted one replay per match.
- The mappool will be played through one time in order from NM1 to DT3 (as listed on the sheet)
- Disconnections are considered to be unexpected, game-breaking events out of a player’s control (i.e. keyboard/tablet/mouse malfunction, system failure, internet disconnect, etc). Offset, background dim, etc. ARE NOT considered valid reasons to call for an abort/replay as players may fix these on their own time.
Match Procedures:
- A referee will create a lobby before the scheduled match time and invite the players.
- Players are expected to show up to matches on time. It is a player’s responsibility to come prepared for the match. If a player comes unprepared, the referee may use their judgment as they see fit.
- If a player fails to join the match 5 minutes after the scheduled match time, they will lose their roll and bans.
- If a player fails to join the match 10 minutes from the scheduled match time, they will forfeit.
- There are no warmups.
- NF will be enforced on all maps.
- Players will roll for picks and bans. The winner of the roll may choose pick order or ban order. The loser will choose the remaining order.
- In RO32 and RO16, players will have 1 ban and no protects. Afterwards, players will have 2 bans and 1 protect.
- Once a map is picked, players will have 90 seconds to ready up. Once the timer is finished, the referee will force start the map.
- Tiebreakers are played with FreeMod enabled, however, do not require a player to use a mod. (NF is still enforced.)
- In the event of a disconnection, an abort/replay may be called if it occurred within the first 30 seconds of the map. Other than that, common sense will be applied. If proof exists of the disconnected player’s score (or a rough estimate of their hypothetical score if they finished the map), it will be used. If it is at all ambiguous, the other player will get the point. Each player is granted one replay per match.
PROTECT AND BANS (Applies to matches after RO16): - There are no restrictions on picks or bans.
- The first set of bans shall be at the start of the match, each player shall ban 1 map.
- The first ban will be before the protect.
- After 4 maps are played, players will then be asked for their second set of bans.
- Players will have 90 seconds for bans, should they fail to choose one within that time, they will lose their ban.
- Players will have 90 seconds for picks, should they fail to choose one within that time, the pick will be given to the opposing player.
FREEMOD RULE: - You can only pick DIFFERENT MOD COMBINATIONS on FreeMod for the rest of the match (eg. only 1 FM can be played with HD, only 1 FM can be played with HR, only 1 FM can be played NM, only 1 FM can be played HDHR, etc.).
