Can't make a beatmap

I tried was gonna try and make a beatmap out of a song I found that sounded cool, but When I converted it into an mp3 file to edit it, osu says that its unable to move beatmap *with a string of numbers* and that it is probably in use by another application.

I think it has something to do with the beatmap files I already have that is interfering with the mp3 file but I don't know, I just want to make cool song into map

Are you completely sure you dont just still have the file open in an audio editor or player?

This message usually shows up if the name of the file is too long, try shorten it and try again, see if that works.
