I think this is what was implied in the latest lazer update video about having a single leaderboard.
Having a scoring system which includes slider accuracy on stable is important for user acceptance for osu! lazer, but I couldn't find anyone bringing this point up. If you can get higher accuracy (even slightly higher) on stable because slider accuracy isn't counted, it will be harder to get players to switch over to lazer. Using ScoreV2 on both clients seems to be the easiest way to fix this issue (and for consistent scoring).
