Returning after long break trying to get back up again

After a long break from the game, i try to get back to a higher global ranking.
Of course my personal skill is not of the old level, but even if i play a new song, my rank only goes down or just maybe 10 places up.
I don't expect some magic, but i think my skill is way better then a 470k Rank and i have the feeling, that i never will go under the top 100k again.

So are there any advices how to get back up?

Well technically, if you manage to derust by playing maps that challenge you, you will be able to improve and move up in the global ranking. Don't play too easy maps so you can get used to it again, but not too hard maps because there's no point in forcing you to read maps that you cannot play; just the right beatmaps for you.

Play more but play smart.

ehhh, not really. There's not much you can do but play more. I think what's best during this period is to manage your expectations and have a level mind so you won't develop a bad mindset along the way.

I also think, that the only way is to rise step by step again.

You need like lots of 200 pp plays to get to under top 100k ranks at this point. I dont think there is anything you can do right now other than derusting and farming. Good luck if you will try to grind

I don't think it's a bad thing if your goal is to get a higher rank
