there are people who prefer chatting besides doing other stuff (or not) - they tend to use IRC clients. while this isn't an issue at all, i thought it would be cool to have it in style of lazer chat including all functions (commands except /np) for PC and maybe even mobile too.
since i prefer osu! client over IRC to chat, keeping the whole client open bothers me as soon as i want to play other games. i know there's the web chat too but i don't know how to feel about it: you aren't really shown as online, design doesn't meet osu! standards imo, important functions like reporting are still missing etc.
if mobile IRC is ever planned: IOS disconnects you automatically once it got in background, maybe there's a workaround to not get fully disconnected (even though you are from IOS' side).
