Here's the video
THIS IS MUTED BTW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMK2VFrrqv0

It's nothing amazing but I thought I'd share what it's like

I pretty much wanted to try osu! out on my friend's oculus rift, but every time I meet him I forgot to bring my laptop....
That sure looks really tiring, imagine your eye movement when playing maps with jumps

Looks interesting

The OP was not using Oculus as the input, just to see the game right? So he could try disabling the movement detection, so he can move his head and it wont move.

Or play like mekadon says, with the movement detection... But that seems uncomfortable '-'

disclaimer: I don't have a oculus rift, but gave a look at the api/functions a while back. You need to set it to you game, some games have problems with the hud(on Skyrim the hud was so far to the borders that you couldn't see it).

Luck sir o/

Yep. The oculus was emulating as the mouse cursor and just used S&D for clicking, Which made it a bit of a pain to see where the next circle is coming from without getting a slider break or such the screen is stationary, but because of the lens type, you can't see the full screen properly which is a little annoying.
But I'm gonna fiddle about a bit, and see if I can get it much clearer with better movement without all the rolling.
Eye tracking would be the best thing but I think that's still a way off :?

Did you edit how the lenses look in the video? All other Oculus videos I've seen look much different than yours.

How is the latency on the tracking and display? This looks really interesting and I would like to try it out. Only problem I see would be the spinners.

Nah, It's non edited, I Think what you mean is my IPD (Distance between pupils) Determine on how close/far the lenses are from each other, My IPD Is 61.8mm So they overlap a little, No idea why, but It's uncomfortable when I change the settings. :o

The latency is not too bad, not anything like mouse or tablet, the best way to explain it would be to say it's not consciously noticeable if that makes sense? Tracking is generally fine, if a little nauseating shaking your head about but fun :) As for display, this is weird, the oculus has a 1280×800, I've only really tested it at 1900 x 1080 where a lot of edges are cut off etc, so you can't see all the notes clearly. But ye
P.S YEP SPINNERS ARE HORRIBLE

That makes sense, but I think I was talking more about your lenses are more circular than others I have seen.

Ohhh, I think that's just vorpx drivers being weird :o

They seem to be a lot rounder, I Think it also depends on dev. not sure

That video looks like it does depend on the game. Maybe different shapes work better with different environments/mechanics.
