So I didn't even know you could spectate people playing Osu! unless they were streaming on Twitch or something... but I found you could today when I noticed it said "Spectator:" and someones name in the left side of my screen...

I'm not like super amazing at Osu! or anything but the whole time it showed there was a spectator I was messing up and failing songs I can get at least a B on because I have awful anxiety. The person stopped, probably because I kept failing, but I still can't get back to not messing up because I'm nervous someone else will start watching me and now I suck completely at Osu!... Anyone have any suggestions?

Options -> Online -> Uncheck the "Show a list of spectators during gameplay"

Will that make it so no one will watch me, or just so I can't see it if they are?

you won't be able to see the spectator list. only way to stop someone spectating you is to play offline

If you still have the problem, try taking deep breaths before the song and focus on hitting the dead center of the circles. Hopefully that will keep your mind off of it and you will be more comfortable. Either way, just have fun with it. No one is going to judge you ^.^
