Hard Rock?

I would like to see some opinions and thoughts about the Hard Rock mod.

In my case I have used Hard Rock very often, even if the circle size is very small! >w<
However I've barely used it when the base ar (or od) is at 7 or higher, because I can't do ar 9.8 and above at all without hitting notes late..

I did get some FC's on super short maps with an ar like this!

Also I am pretty decent at very small circle size maps. (If I am playing a 3* at best..)

Sometimes I like to slap Hard Rock on circle size 5 too, heck maybe even 6 if I'm insane! O_O

But that's mostly the case on super old maps, because they always tend to have some weird difficulty adjustments...

I like HR.
But man, I can not play HR on cs 5 or higher. it is hell trying to do play like that

I don't like using HR in catch because I'm not used to playing maps with like 10 AR and small notes yet.

If only hr plays in osu mania were ranked, then I would have produced an opinion, but they're not. Kind of a weird thing with that

If I didn't want to be a sigma nomod main (top play-wise) I would for sure main HR.

HR is probably my second favorite mod besides FL.

CS 6.5 or higher is just fun to play and you don't really see many precision players (partly because almost no one even maps CS above 4.5 now)

hardrock is not bad at all! some maps make this mode way more better to play with but I am still too bad with this mode xd

Hardrock is one of my least liked mods because to me it just doesn't make much sense honestly. First off all it multiplies all the difficulty settings, meaning on much lower difficulty settings hardrock barely does anything. Second not all difficulty settings are multiplied the same rate, iirc CS multiplier is somehow lower. Third, it flips the map, why? Fourth, it caps out at difficulty setting 10, so maps with difficulty settings already at 10 dont get affected.

Basically, hardrock is such a weird mod to me because it's clearly not balanced for each and every map and the changes that the mod does just weirds me out a little

Would like it if it were more consistent. and like seriously, why the flip?

They really should

I still don't understand why DT is the only mod that increases your pp in mania. I always liked playing with HR on because of the less window for error, especially since every note in mania is affected which makes it more challenging.

HR is great but it took a long time for me to like it.

AR10 and OD10 with a low circle size and HP is brutal.

Once your skill level is high enough HR becomes comfortable and fun.

My opinion is mixed with HR. hard rock does make it easy on like low ar maps. But it also makes the AR much harder like 9.5 and above. I do like hr though but it's basically impossible for me at some extent. I should start practicing HR

as a storyboarder, the vertical flip is disgusting. when you play a storyboard with glow behind the hitobjects, the flip just messes up everything.

besides the flip, ar10 is really hard and honestly a bit unnecessary, although i like the precision test (even though i'm not good at it), and od10 is really good for pp. the hp increase is a bit annoying though, and i often combine hr with nf for that reason.

i only play hr on 1-2 star maps

otherwise i don't like the mod in general, i don't like small circles because i don't have such precision to hit them

I only use HR with DT FL to get SS when found maps lower than 2 stars,it is fun for me.
