Hey,
I recently saved up enough money for a mechanical keyboard and was just wondering which key switch to buy.
I'm aware that the blue and brown switches are the best for gaming but I'm a bit confused which one is better for osu and gaming in general.
If anybody could guide me on which one of the two is better for gaming/osu that would be awesome.
Thanks,
~Baskebarro
There is a thread called "How to improve at osu" >>> t/99612

When you go there, click the "Threads" button and there you will see 6 different threads dedicated to keyboards and what is best for osu. Read through all of them, I am sure it will help you.

(sigh) What's the point of having stickied threads if nobody reads them anyway?

Oh wait, Reds of course. Linear are better for gaming in overall, maybe not for daily use.

I highly doubt it'd be any worse than rubberdomes though... and judging from your rank you might not be at the skill level to even stream consistently on any keyboard. (trust me, I believe I wasn't until I hit #11k)

TBH I'm actually contemplating picking up a CM Storm TKL (Topre 45g with Cherry MX keystems) as my next keyboard, assuming that it won't be too horribly expensive. But who knows when that's coming out (and if I'm even going to be able to get one by then)...

I put brown, red, blue, and black switches into my keyboard.
Although I'm not great at streaming, it feels as if browns are the best for fast streaming, and blacks are the best for training.

Then again, I like tactile switches much more than linear switches, I would never use reds again and I'm just using blacks as default for practice.
Blues are my personal favorite/switch of choice, but browns seem a bit better for speed (haven't played with the browns too much).
