I have gotten used to playing with HD because I felt it improved my accuracy and made me more in sync with the music but when I turn off HD I can't seem to stream and am a lot more inconsistent with timing and everything, is this bad? I can play 5 star and fc 4 star but when i turn off hd i cannot do these things as well anymore.

if you don't want to play without hd better than you do now, it doesn't affect you.

You probably got too used to HD so now you aren't able to perform well without it on.

If you don't see it as a problem, then continue to play with HD on. Plus there's also an extra side of pp if you want more of those

If you're gonna be locked into playing a single mod, HD is definitely the least worst mod to get locked into because it doesn't change gameplay, just reading. Not being able to stream without HD is crazy, streaming with HD on is one of the hardest aspects of the mod IMO, alongside low AR reading.

I say this from my personal experiences, most of the difficulty in HD is when there are many notes on screen at once, so for example when the AR is lower or on streams. But besides that I find HD to be a quite comfortable mod to play with. You can usually see your cursor's position clearer with the lack of circles covering that area, reading could be easier than nomod at times as the screen is filled with less circles at a time.

But just in case, play nomod every now and then, there could be some skills that you might struggle to improve on if you practice it with hd on.
