I fully alternate; it has been natural since I started playing in 2017. I don't see the benefits of single tapping as it takes up more stamina on one finger, and alternating creates somewhat of a natural metronome. Change my mind :)

imo its way easier to be quicker singletapping without losing finger control
like i dont think theres ever been a case where my finger has locked on jumps or lines of singles yet if i were to try to alt them i would literally die irl

hmmm...if I can actually consistently singletap ~ 200bpm then I might disagree about alternating being easy, but I still have school, so that will probably change my mind ;w;

Naa im not saying its easy, I have seen people say its hard and I can understand if you dont just start out fill alternation its a big change. I am just saying its superior :)

i do both

alternating at a bpm lower than 140 (depending tho)

single-tapping at a bpm higher than 140
Stomiks
Everybody should learn to alternate

in my experience, alt is less stamina intensive but also takes a bit more focus to do. while single tap is more stamina intensive but requires less focus.

well I still alternate sometimes just naturally in case I've just suddenly read a 1/2 stack or I sometimes tap with my less dominant finger to get better performances or to get ready to do bursts or streams..

But I also alternate if am singletapping it too slowly...

>105bpm 1/4 or >210bpm 1/2 alternating is pretty much my only option for now... ;w;

I can singletap up to 400 beats per minute...(basically 200bpm 1/2 singletapping..)
Although I am not that good at it...

I do what i find most comfortable, if i dont need to alt then i singletap because its comfortable. My opinion is that in osu whats most important is your own personal comfort. No style fits perfectly for everyone so you have to keep looking to improve your own comfort

I have 0 finger control while singletapping, I can hit some jumps and that's about it. Even then, I hit jumps way better when I alternate. It's to the point where I physically can't start consecutive burst/streams on the same finger, without an immense amount of focus and fingerlocking constantly.

I was single tap til 480h, switched to Full alt never looked back
Psylaris
I single-tapped until like 1.01 mil, then decided to practice full alt until I could SS a 2.41*. Never looked back.
Juradon
Have been single tapping until now, never looked back.

But seriously, my brain is unable to comprehend full alt, had to learn to single tap high bpm (currently at ~250-260bpm).

Besides all this I agree, alt is objectively superior but only on high bpm.
