I never had any problems playing osu. A while ago I downloaded a lot of beatmaps via Direct. A week ago or so, my Computer slowed down like hell and I couldn't even open any Folders or Games etc. I was wondering why. I couldn't open Osu! anymore, but I fixed it.. somehow..

Okay so, I noticed Osu! stops working and my computer slows down whenever I took the 2nd/3rd beatmap so I tried to figure out what beatmap exactly. I went to the Osu! folder and deleted all the beatmaps. My Computer slowed down again( I could'nt open any window, skype just stopped working, Osu! also. ) I just restarted my computer. Checking the folder again, I noticed all beatmaps are deleted now expect for 1. I tried to open the Folder but my Computer slowed down again. I can't delete it and whenever I just open it up, my computer slows down like hell.

I'm not getting any kind of error messages from osu! or windows. I just can't delete the folder/files inside.

Thanks for any help~

You should run a Chkdsk Instance, because it seems that your storage drive (HDD, SSD, whatever) is acting up...

Do the following:
- Open a Command Prompt (cmd) instance under administrative privilegies (Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1).
- Type the following: "chkdsk /r /f c:" without the quotes and press enter. (assuming your game is saved in the default directory)
- The computer will reply that the drive cannot be locked and asks for a scheduled check on next restart, if you want to proceed, type Y, if not then N...then press enter.

**"chkdsk /f /r" will search for damaged sectors on your partition and will attempt to repair them with the affected files. It will take some time depending of your partition size and how affected is the drive. The bigger the size, the longer the time chkdsk would take to complete the request.
