[Archived] my fps always drops to something lower

Problem details:i was just randomly playing when i started getting 51 fps , it sused to run very good but after that it is not. I cleaned up my disk changed my graphics setting and all still no fix. my graphics card is mx230 and i7

Is your computer plugged in? If not, try doing that and also try following the steps on this wiki page: wiki/en/Performance_troubleshooting

If you have lots of applications open in the background, and if they consume a lot of RAM/memory, then if would be best to close them.

I faced similar issues as you, my game used to run smoothly and one day it just started dropping FPS.
I cleaned out my disk just like you did, and that might have helped a little, but the problem was mostly coming from discord being open at the same time as osu!.

tl;dr: Close apps like discord or your web browser since those use up quite a bit of RAM/memory.
