Hi! i recently swapped to ring and index instead of middle and index.
From this switch i have noticed some benefits and some downsides, i dont have the same fingercontrol (cause im new to ring) but i have also noticed that i have less strain and get less pain meanwhile playing, my speed is also relatively the same.

Idk if i should switch to ring or stay with middle cause i got more fingercontrol on middle.
Tho i think i will benefit from ring cause then i can push more without pain.

Please can someone help me i cant choose x)

Try to figure out why middle and index gives more strain than ring and index. If you can't translate that feeling of being relaxed to your old playstyle, then I would probably stick with ring and index. Maybe look at your hand positioning or whatnot.

If you think you're better with middle-index than ring-index then I don't think you should switch because it would be a waste of time to relearn everything. If I had never broken my finger I probably wouldn't have changed my tapping technique.

I think its cause when i kinda "strain" to push my speed i strain the whole hand and with ring and index i cant rly strain the same which leads to me not feeling the same in my hand

This is just speaking from my personal experience with pain with the middle+index playstyle, maybe it could help with you:

* I raised my chair higher, which causes less strain since I don't need to tap as hard in a higher position.

* When I had my keyboard closer to me/and/or my wrist touching my desk, it causes more strain. To fix this I moved my keyboard further away from me, and I now use my forearm as leverage on the edge of my desk. There is a lot less strain using your forearm as leverage as opposed to your wrist. **MAKE SURE YOUR WRIST ISN'T ON THE DESK**

* As simple or obvious as it may sound, this one is really difficult to subconsciously change, at least for me, and that's tapping lighter. Tapping lighter obviously causes less strain than tapping harder. Try your best to consciously tap light. (I've found that certain hitsounds in skins for some reason make me tap lighter or heavier than others., but that's probably just me.)

When you experience pain, IMMEDIATELY STOP PLAYING. I was foolish enough to play through the pain, and this caused me to not be able to / barely be able to play for a couple months because I let it get so bad.
