I am really enjoying the taiko mode and I am a beginner, if anyone can give me some tips on how to improve.

I'm not a good player yet but I recommend you focus on playing triplet patterns well until you are comfortable with 3* maps. After that start getting into low bpm onis to learn more complex patterns. That approach got me to low 4* passes.

this is more general advice but just play what you normally play but try to set goals for them like get an FC or try to pass something with a maximum number of misses. Just play like usual while occasionally playing something challenging (something you know you can't FC) but of course not too challenging (like a 6* map at your rank).
