Easy

00:16:322 (7) - New combo ( adjust the rest of the next combo accordingly)
00:56:952 (4) - this note is half off the playing field, some players with smaller resolutions may be cut off
01:02:144 - add a note here for flow
01:05:929 - ^
Due to this song not having any distinct break area, I think the break should end here > 01:17:267 -
If not, the only appropriate way to break would be for it to end here > 01:29:078 - , but that is a LONG break!

Normal

00:23:645 - Add note here
00:24:590 - ^
00:27:425 (2) - Flows well with this slider repeating once, adjusting spacing after would be wise

Hard

00:33:330 (6) - New combo
00:36:519 (2) - bad spacing, even for a hard diff, this is usually what would happen in insane
There are a few spacing issues on this diff, so just be careful to not go overboard with your spacing

IRC log
18:01 -Bakari-: hey!
18:01 deejaydray: hello ^^
18:02 -Bakari-: will you mind a little IRC mod? :)
18:02 *-Bakari- is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/354337 Alexandra Stan - Mr. Saxobeat [Hard]]
18:02 deejaydray: oh, sure no problem, but i have a question ;s
18:02 -Bakari-: yeah, feel free to ask anything you want :)
18:02 deejaydray: can u tell me some details, i've never participated in a IRC mod before
18:02 deejaydray: e.e
18:03 -Bakari-: i'll make some quick in-game suggsteions
18:03 -Bakari-: and then post the log in the thread
18:04 deejaydray: oh , cool ^^
18:04 -Bakari-: first of all, let's start with some general things
18:04 -Bakari-: remove "alexandra stan mr saxobeat album" from the tags. there's no need to keep them here!
18:05 -Bakari-: I don't think that you really need to keep the word "album" here, it's not really related to the song
18:05 deejaydray: oh, because the name is already the same ?
18:05 -Bakari-: yeah
18:05 deejaydray: okay ^^
18:06 -Bakari-: it'd be better to find a 1024x768 or 1366x768 BG because these are recommended sizes for the backgrounds
18:07 -Bakari-: the next thing that REALLY needs to be fixed is the combo colours. :< they're different now, you can fix them by editing your .osu files
18:07 deejaydray: I could find that one, but [ in my screen at least ] when i play the song, the picture is zoomed in
18:08 -Bakari-: was it a 16:9 bg or..?
18:09 deejaydray: it was 700 x 700, but i had to edit it, so i mad it 800 x 700 adding some black color on the outside
18:09 deejaydray: because of that zoom in
18:09 -Bakari-: that's because osu! conflicts with this kind of BGs :(
18:09 deejaydray: anyway, I will check a 1024x768 wallpaper, dont worry ^^
18:10 -Bakari-: cool, now let's go on, then
18:10 deejaydray: oh and btw
18:10 deejaydray: what's with the colors ? o.o
18:10 deejaydray: they can't be differet ?
18:10 deejaydray: different*
18:10 -Bakari-: they can ONLY IF you use different backgrounds or have guest diffs
18:11 -Bakari-: otherwise, it's a rule, and you have to keep them consistent :(
18:11 deejaydray: oh i see... i'm gonna fix them :)
18:12 -Bakari-: we're done with the general part, now let's move to the [Easy] :)
18:12 -Bakari-: I've already testplayed it and I didn't really liked it because of "too linear" patterns
18:13 -Bakari-: sorry, but I'm just sharing my opinion and trying to be honest
18:13 -Bakari-: don't worry, I will try to explain what can we improve :)
18:13 deejaydray: oh... ;c but "linear" patterns are my fav...
18:14 -Bakari-: it's your style, that's okay ><
18:14 -Bakari-: but we can make them a bit prettier!
18:15 deejaydray: ok ^^
18:15 -Bakari-: speaking about your easy diff, I'd reduce Hp drain by one tick to make it a bit easier. so beginners won't have so many problems with passing it
18:15 -Bakari-: 00:19:157 (3,4,5) - doesn't looks really intuitive/readable for a beginne, I think.
18:16 -Bakari-: Basically, what beginners do is clicking on the nearest object they see and trying to do it to the beat.
18:16 -Bakari-: So, they might miss (4) just because (5) is closer :<
18:16 deejaydray: oh i see
18:16 deejaydray: yes, indeed... i'm fixing now
18:17 -Bakari-: 00:28:133 (2,3,4) - well, it's not even a suggestion, but still
18:17 -Bakari-: we can clearly hear "DOWN" in the lyrics
18:17 -Bakari-: so, it'd be logical to move (4) down or make it a slider and make it go down :D
18:18 -Bakari-: so, try to follow not only the beat, but match it with the lyrics as well. but don't go too far, playability should be on the 1st place :)
18:18 deejaydray: lol
18:18 deejaydray: i've never thought about that XD
18:20 -Bakari-: 01:06:401 (1,2) - I'm not a big fan of such sliders, because playres normally don't expect the second repeat and it's pretty hard to notice it in time ><
18:20 -Bakari-: nevertheless, it actually fits the song and it's rankable. so, if you want to keep them - do it. wanna change - go ahead and make me happy! <3
18:21 deejaydray: hmm, i can replace the second repeat part with a circle, so there shouldn't be any problems ^^
18:21 -Bakari-: 01:24:826 (4,1,2,3) - well, this pattern doesn't look linear at all! I think it looks kinda unusual here and may confuse players
18:23 -Bakari-: if you choose some style, try to follow it through the whole diff/map. otherwise some patterns appear random :(
18:24 -Bakari-: 02:15:377 (3,4,5) - the same thing about "clicking on the nearest circle" happens here, I guess
18:24 deejaydray: i'm gonna reverse this 01:26:244 (2) then
18:25 -Bakari-: 02:01:204 (1,2,3,4) - I guess you've used some copy-paste here, haven't you? :c
18:26 deejaydray: yup but it's mirrored
18:26 deejaydray: :3
18:26 -Bakari-: that's okay, but I'd prefer to see something different here instead. even though this part sounds just like the previous kiai, it'd be better to make something different
18:26 -Bakari-: anyway, just try to note it for your future maps, please
18:26 deejaydray: okay ^^
18:26 -Bakari-: uh, and a couple more things
18:27 -Bakari-: your comboing seems to be a bit irregular
18:27 -Bakari-: if I'm not mistaken, you're trying to follow the background music
18:28 deejaydray: yep, i dont follow the lyrics
18:28 deejaydray: i follow the beats
18:28 deejaydray: but that is not "irregular"
18:28 deejaydray: o.o
18:28 -Bakari-: it's cool, but it's better if you try to keep combos ~the same length
18:29 -Bakari-: 00:16:322 (1,2) - this short combo actually feels kinda "extra" here
18:29 deejaydray: it looks "extra" because there is a little break behind
18:29 deejaydray: :]
18:30 deejaydray: the combo would be too long if i didnt use "NC" there...
18:30 -Bakari-: technically, it's okay. so let's leave it as it is :)
18:32 -Bakari-: by the way, how about a few suggestions which will probably help you to make your patterns a bit mre playable?
18:33 -Bakari-: I'm asking, because it's a kinda controversal thing and people still argue about flow in maps :D
18:33 deejaydray: sure, i'm listening
18:33 -Bakari-: 00:43:724 (3,4,1) - this pattern is actuall fie and rankable, but for some reason it doesn't plays very good to me
18:35 -Bakari-: here it is important to think about flow
18:35 -Bakari-: it is quite natural for players, to go on moving their hands like [http://puu.sh/6lHNo.jpg this]
18:35 deejaydray: oh ... wow
18:36 -Bakari-: and it feels kinda unpleasant to "change" the direction of a move so fast as it happens in your pattern
18:36 deejaydray: there are so many "hard" things to remember for an Easy diff
18:36 deejaydray: XD
18:36 deejaydray: kinda ironic
18:36 -Bakari-: well, it applys to every diff, I think
18:36 deejaydray: i dont think this would be a problem in a hard diff for example
18:37 -Bakari-: take a look at this https://osu.ppy.sh/news/61334266941
18:39 deejaydray: oh, didnt see that before
18:43 deejaydray: i'm going to accept most of the things that look good to me as well, especially because i have no experience in modding
18:44 deejaydray: so it would be better for me to listen to others' opinions :)
18:48 deejaydray: i've seen maps that have a very "nice looking" flow, but i've also seen maps that don't have a flow at all, but still ranked >.>
18:48 deejaydray: it's so frustrating
18:49 -Bakari-: rules changes, and so do patterns :P
18:50 -Bakari-: of course, it's better to improve your style by looking at newwer maps, but no one can't stop you from enjoying elder ones :)
18:51 deejaydray: hehe, true
18:51 deejaydray: oh btw
18:51 deejaydray: how did u find this map ? :]
18:51 -Bakari-: oh well, i got carried away from the map, sorry. I guess you'd prefer to read something helpful about your map
18:52 -Bakari-: the Easy diff is pretty sweet, but I can't say the same about your hard ;_;
18:52 deejaydray: so "hard" is salty XDD
18:53 -Bakari-: let me test it once again, maybe I didn't get something :D
18:54 deejaydray: ok, meantime i'm gonna search a new BG ^^
18:56 deejaydray: oh i have a question about SB
18:57 deejaydray: can i put my name on the BG image? i saw that others do this :]
18:57 -Bakari-: people normally do it when they make collab maps
18:57 -Bakari-: so, people know who made which part
18:57 deejaydray: oh i see
18:57 -Bakari-: here, when the whole map is done by yourself, it would be strange :P
18:58 deejaydray: what do u think about this BG ?
18:58 deejaydray: http://wallpaper.pickywallpapers.com/1024x768/alexandra-stan-with-akg-headphones.jpg
18:58 -Bakari-: awww, that's perfect
18:58 deejaydray: ^^
18:59 -Bakari-: try to remove that "downloaded from" from your bg ;_;/
19:00 deejaydray: already did
19:00 deejaydray: XDD
19:00 deejaydray: but i cannot remove "alexandra stan"
19:00 deejaydray: because it's on her hand LOL
19:01 -Bakari-: ok, I've figured out why it was so confusing :D
19:01 -Bakari-: you didn't change slider velocity at all :D
19:01 -Bakari-: all three diffs has the same SV, whyyy? ;_;
19:02 deejaydray: i didn't know i must change the SV
19:02 deejaydray: o.o
19:02 deejaydray: i thought i can let the same SV
19:02 -Bakari-: well, yes, but WHY? ;_;
19:03 -Bakari-: it's actually boring for experienced players to play somewthing with SV 1.2
19:04 -Bakari-: it is technically rankable, but I don't think that people would rank it :<
19:04 deejaydray: mehhh seriously? .___.
19:04 deejaydray: i cant change it now because it would mean i have to rework the entire diff
19:05 -Bakari-: well, I'd ask some BATs for a testplay and then I'd ask them if it's actually possible to get it ranked
19:05 deejaydray: most of BATs would say "sry no time"...
19:05 -Bakari-: but come ooon, there're so many reasons to avoid using that SV
19:05 -Bakari-: first of all
19:06 -Bakari-: SV/AR are UNBALLANCED. Totally! D: Circles appear really quickly and then sliders go reeeeeeeeeeally slow
19:07 deejaydray: 1.2 is not "reaaaaaaly slow" XDD
19:07 deejaydray: it's not like i used 0.8 or smth
19:08 -Bakari-: for majority of the community, it is :D
19:08 -Bakari-: oh, and what's up with these spacing changes? 01:41:362 (2,3,4,1) - here, for example
19:09 deejaydray: well i thought i can use any space i want on hard diff
19:09 deejaydray: it's the most difficult diff on this mapset afterall...
19:11 -Bakari-: well, you should keep the spacing changes reasonable and intuitive
19:11 -Bakari-: and pleeeeeeease, don't make them too hard. It's still a Hard diff, not Insane!
19:11 deejaydray: "intuitive" in hard ??? lol
19:11 deejaydray: i've never seen this
19:12 deejaydray: yes but in my case, this hard is like a hard-insane
19:12 deejaydray: something between hard and insane...
19:12 deejaydray: if i used only the normal distance snap, it would be the boringest hard ever
19:12 deejaydray: e,e
19:13 -Bakari-: that's because of the SV :D
19:13 -Bakari-: It's okay to use jumps/antijumps but they should fit with the music/vocals!
19:14 deejaydray: so what SV should i use on hard/insane diffs ?
19:15 -Bakari-: I can't tell you the exact Sv, but I'd make it a bit faster.
19:15 -Bakari-: oh, and about making patterns intuitive
19:15 -Bakari-: does [http://puu.sh/6lJcf.jpg this] look intuite/readable to you? :)
19:16 deejaydray: yes it does
19:17 -Bakari-: that's what I'm talking about, the structure
19:17 -Bakari-: your diff isn't really easy to undestand, huh? :)
19:18 deejaydray: that was my point, to make it harder , harder than a normal HARD diff...
19:18 deejaydray: thats why i used "un-readable" and "un-intuitive" objects
19:18 -Bakari-: usually, we use SV and 1/4 patterns :P
19:20 deejaydray: so i guess i will have to re-work the hard...
19:20 deejaydray: perfect >.>
19:20 -Bakari-: 01:04:039 - 01:04:984 - 01:05:929 - why didn't you map these beats, btw?
19:20 deejaydray: because i wanted it to sound just like the sliders before them :]
19:21 deejaydray: 00:59:315 (2,3,4,5) -
19:21 deejaydray: like these
19:21 -Bakari-: well, that's clearly not what players are used to :D
19:22 -Bakari-: 00:13:960 - 00:14:905 - well, that'd be a nice idea to place a circle here. so, it'll be a triplet
19:23 deejaydray: it doesnt sound good to me :s
19:23 -Bakari-: I'm telling you, that it'd be a good idea to use different SV for a Hard diff and to re-work it, yeah
19:24 -Bakari-: but I'm not forcing you to do it :<
19:24 deejaydray: you're not, but the BAT will XDD
19:24 -Bakari-: well, I hate saying that kind of stuff
19:25 deejaydray: ok, so i got it, bigger SV and not so many -weird jumps- except these, what should i change?
19:26 -Bakari-: well, if you still feel like keeping your linar style, nothing else. :P
19:27 deejaydray: ok, gonna start the rework soon ;3
19:27 -Bakari-: keep looking at other people's maps and try to experiment with your patterns!
19:28 deejaydray: k i will ^^
19:28 -Bakari-: hope you understand it a bit better now ><

We've done
  1. Some general suggestions. Tags, colours and so on.
  2. Pattern improvements. (mostly flow suggestions)
  3. Some serious suggstions about the hard diff. We were considereing remapping due to low SV.
  4. Explanition of some general things.

18:52 -Bakari-: the Easy diff is pretty sweet, but I can't say the same about your hard ;_;
19:01 -Bakari-: all three diffs has the same SV, whyyy? ;_;
19:02 deejaydray: i didn't know i must change the SV
19:02 deejaydray: o.o
19:02 deejaydray: i thought i can let the same SV
19:02 -Bakari-: well, yes, but WHY? ;_;

  4. Explanition of some general things.

hello M4M from your queue~

[General]
Your timing a bit off imo, maybe you can try BPM 127 Ofset 2174, if you follow that don't forget to re-snap all notes

[Easy]
  1. CS+1
  2. 00:11:598 (3) - it's better to have same shape with this 00:09:708 (1) - , see the pict
  3. 00:21:047 (5) - i'm not sure that slider is allowed for an easy diff
  4. 00:22:937 (1) - make it a better blanket with this one 00:24:826 (2) - , see the pict
  5. ctrl+j this 00:26:716 (1) - and move to x:120 y:316
  6. 00:30:023 (4,1) - make it a better blanket
  7. ctrl+h this 00:38:055 (1) - and move to x:432 y:284
you have many slider shape variation in this diff yet not very neat and i think you over use the finish hitsound imo

[Normal]
  1. 00:27:425 (2) - delete the repeat and make it a 1/2 slider like this
  2. 00:36:165 (4) - it's better to have same shape with this 00:34:275 (1) -
  3. 01:46:795 (2) - delete the repeat and make it a 1/2
[Hard]
  1. 00:54:118 (2,3) - i like that one
  2. 01:43:960 (5) - wow nice slider <3
  3. 01:46:086 (1,2,3,1,2) - you should find a better pattern for variation
  4. a circle stream would be cool on this one 02:00:259 (1,2) - and this one 02:04:511 (3,4,5) -
  5. 02:07:818 (1,2,3,4,1) - wow a star shape, use frequently when you can
  6. 02:12:543 (1) - reduece one repeat
well this diff is nice to play but it's kinda boring imo, must be better at flow and patterns, not only put notes vertical and horizontal though
you can use slider shape variation like the easy diff

that's all~
good luck :)

00:35:220 (2,3) - i suggest this
01:02:149 (4) - Move to x:348 y:312 to overlap 01:04:984 (2)
01:06:401 (1) - Move to x: 64 y:128 to blanket better 01:07:818 (2)
02:10:653 (3) -

Normal
00:24:590 (4) -i suggest move to x:188 y:276
00:27:425 (2,3,4) - Try this: Delete 00:27:425 (2) - place a circle here 00:27:661 - in this position> x:40 y:360
Move 00:28:133 (3) - to x:124 y:276 and 00:29:078 (4) - to x: 128 y: 156 and adjust the distance from then on.
Make this slider 00:42:543 (2) - end here 00:42:779 because here has a strong beat
i think it's better with a hit here 01:00:259 - , 01:01:204 - and 01:02:149
01:46:086 (1,2,3,4) - same here 00:26:716 (1,2,3,4)

Hard
00:14:433 (3) -
Move 00:15:063 (4) - to x: 252 y: 56 for ovelap 00:16:322 (5)
00:44:118 (1) - move to x:244 y:244 and the last node to x:156 y:252

Sorry, i can't mod insane, I know nothing about insane diffs xD

Saw this in #modreq and liked the song, so here I am :D
Doing this in a weird order, so bear with me.

Tony's
00:47:425 (6,7) - I wouldn't put a double here.
01:02:149 (5,1) - This jump is annoying, I realize its a jump between two combo's, but bridging this might feel more natural.
01:16:322 (3,4) - I don't know what to say here. It feels awkward :P, but i can't justify any other timing. (Longshot, but 01:14:826 (4,5) might work better than how it is)
01:39:000 (2,3) - Again, stacking these makes this feel really weird to play.
(Beat spacing is so weird to see in 1/6 xD) <- Personal issue

Hard
Honestly, this looks really good. (Again the beat spacing threw me off so many times xD) <-More personal issues
00:45:614 (1) - The space between these would warrant NC being on (2) instead.
00:49:393 (1) - This could be seen as a part of the previous combo. ^
01:49:866 (1) - ^

Really good mapping. The timing was right on and made sense. Good job!

Hello ~ Decided to do some m4m.

[General]
'm unsure about this but it seems your hitsounds are not the same in the mapspread. Like i said, i'm not sure, due to increased notes or whatever.

[Easy]
00:09:708 (1,3) - Here you have 2 finish and then.. Nothing. Always have your hitsounds constant! To rapidly get rid of this little problem, just remove the finish, or make them constant on the other notes.
00:20:574 (4) - I really think this note could have a better placement.
00:21:047 (1) - You could try improving the shape of this note so that the slider ticks could be more visible. But since it's kinda hard to do, feel free to ignore this.
00:22:937 (3,4) - What about adding some finish at both head of sliders? There is an acceleration of the instrument, so I think it could be a good idea. Also for the same reason of the acceleration, you could NC (3).
00:43:724 (3) - You tried using more than one anchor ; But now i'm not sure if it's perfectly symmetryc. Check yourself, coz lulz me is not sure.
00:49:393 (1,2,3) - Just a suggestion, but you could try curving less (3) to make a "square" effect like this http://puu.sh/7kqYC/9f078d27be.jpg ~ Making this will distribut a bit distance snap of the next note, so be sure about it ~
01:29:078 (1,2) - For these two notes ; You could clearly try following the vocals I think. What about making them be full 4/1 sliders? I think it can be the same for 01:36:637 (1,4) .
01:48:448 (3) - It's not very important ; But to keep a good flow try having this note as a double anchor like you did at 01:46:086 (1) .
02:12:543 (1) - This shape... Is a bit weird, but everyone has it own tastes.

You should review some nazi stuff like having same axis for 02:08:291 (5,1) . Otherwise, great map!

[Normal]
00:11:598 (4,5,6) - This part doesn't follow a good flow ; But since it's my opinion, feel free to deny ; I think when you place 1/2 notes together on normals (Or even 1/1 on easy) they should request the same anchor ; If you used a double anchor for the first one, also use it for the 2nd one, etc.. But it's just me being stupid again.
00:14:196 - You should really add a note here, since i'm a constant nazi as you clearly added a 1/2 at 00:11:598 (4,5,6) and previous notes (too lazy to add them, lol.) Since there are no music changing anyway, you should just keep in mind contant thingy.
00:21:519 (6) - I know it's a bit nazi (alot) but try moving the middle anchor a bit, to get a perfect symmetry. You should refer to sliderticks to help you get a perfect one!
00:35:456 (2,5) - Don't know for you, but I don't feel these notes at all. If it was me, I'd remove them. But again, your choice ;)
00:42:543 (2) - I'll just say it one time, cause i hate looking repetitive, i know it annoy mappers. So i'll just say that in some song these fits while in other they don't fit. In this song, the 1/1 slider starting on a red tick just doesn't fit at all.. But if you like it yourself, you must keep it. If you decided to apply the mod, be sure to re-chheck yourself for other similar parts.
01:08:291 (3) - Talked about the flow right :< ? I think it should be great as a double anchor, and also if you turn it upside down.

[Hard]
I don't think using 1/6 is a good idea for Hard, and i'm totally serious about that >< I know you tried following some other instrument for the song, but yeah. Your choice. 1/6 notes seems also too early for me... Although than that, I really like this difficulty.

00:09:708 (1,2,3,4) - Those claps at the beggining just fits bad because of the 1/6 you're using, they seems too early.
00:53:173 (1,2) - I didn't see much blankets in your map, so you could try to have these as blankets?
01:03:567 (3,4,5) - I'm not sure i'm the only one that said this, but don't you think this part is just a tad too blank? Same for 01:11:126 (3,4,5) I think, really that there aren't enough note. You probably did this for a special reason!
00:38:055 (1,3) - Flow, maybe? http://puu.sh/7kOe5/4642065011.jpg I'm some nazi abou those details, sorry :P I'm not relaly a fan of curves to straight.. so yeah. Your choice, like always.
01:43:960 (1) - The clap completely feels outta rythm as the sound is decreasing here.
01:51:677 (4) - I'll tell you, this note feels too early even if you try following the vocals. I think, really it should be at 01:51:755.
01:57:425 (1) - The spinner is really random. I guess you got laaaaazzzzeeehh

Like I said, Not much problem with this difficulty. But review something about the claps starting too early..

[Tony's Saxobeat]
Sorry, due to peppy-san, Saxobeat is no more a rankable difficulty name.
Most of the note have an overmapped feeling like 00:36:165 (1,2) ...
00:34:275 (1) - Make your hitsound constant.. please. This whistle is completely out. Orelse it's me, i made an error, as I see clearly no whistle at 00:41:834 (1) .
01:07:818 (4,2) - You could Ctrl+G to increase difficulty and flow for these two notes, your choice.
01:14:826 (4) - Has an horrible early sound, sorry :o Try this instead: http://puu.sh/7kOC3/004b14ac8f.jpg It's more simpl and sounds good, at least for me.
01:30:889 (7,8) - It feels kinda overmapped, use only 1 note, maybe? If you want to apply this suggestion, do it to similar notes in this part.
02:05:693 (3) - I'm sure it was an error / I know you must place it on a red tick just like 02:04:748 (6) and 02:06:637 (6) !

Your map is really good! Rank it soon, yeah! ;)
