Would a map with the following spread be okay for rank?

1.43* Easy
2.01* Normal
2.79* Hard
3.11* Insane
3.47* Top

-the map in question-

I'm worried because it's not a very even sd increase between each diff

your spread is fine but it has nothing to do with the star rating

sr isn't used as a metric for any rules, it's completely irrelevant

for spread, you have to look at how each diff challenges the player and reason about the spread based on that

how even or irregular the gaps between diffs are is irrelevant as well, the only requirement is that none of the gaps are too big

i think this map has a very consistent diff. gap imo

As already stated - SR is barely used nowadays to judge spread. Most BNs will just check for proper scaling between difficulties (if they do that is).
So stuff like SV - Spacing - Diffulty settings - Density.
Assuming you don't modify SV - going Easy: 0,8 Normal: 1,1 Hard: 1,4 as base SV would be pretty clean spread (assuming Distance Snap - if used - is also properly scaled)
You also have to keep in mind that BPM ties into scaling.

At the end of the day it's a lot of getting used to it, and frankly, making mistakes to learn what work and what doesn't.
If you need a reference framework you can also check Osu ranking criteria or other sets at the same BPM and difficulty level (type in BPM= in song select).
