Currently
/savelog is manual, you have to remember to type it if you want to save the chat log

What I hope it would be
Automatic /savelog that updates itself either realtime or in small intervals like 5-10min.
Can be toggled; will be off by default. A tooltip will pop-up upon your first time in multiplayer to inform you of this feature
Will be sorted into text files with channel name and date, or just channel name.
----- For example, multiplayer_05122013.txt
----- Or multiplayer.txt, with date/time every line in the text file
----- Room switches can/will be represented by a blank line or ============ line

Why I think people may want it
There's no way to copy or highlight text. This will help those who wish to copy text to google translate
It will also help forgetful people like me remember what I said/someone said in chat, whether it's a bank account number recommendation for whatever music/game or an instruction for beatmapping or a discussion about graphic cards etc.

Since there's already a /savelog command, it should be possible to implement... right?
deadbeat

options -> Online
i think there's also a request to make that option work in public channels wait, it was for #spectator t/162636

I do know there's a public channel log over here, but there's none for multiplayer channels

And that public channel log has a update gap/delay of up to 30min.
Also, the time logged is probably a different timezone -- for some reason there's no logs available today here (5th dec, 6.30am) -- and I'm sure I saw chats going on at 1-3am

It could be really helpful for some people, as yon don't always remember to write /savelog in chats and it's tedious. Also, sometimes you just suddenly close osu! or change stream release and history... it's gone.

For example, someone asked today in #help for something that I could help in, but I can't respond to that person, as I have no idea who it was. If I could make my chats, either all or chosen ones, to auto-save, I could just check through what people were writing now =)
Similar thing with #modhelp, #modreqs or language chats^^.

I hope that someday it will be implemented, even if it was to be in another 3 years from now!

P.S.Even if this request is 3 years old, people keep chatting all the time, so it's not really necro-posting, as usefulness of this potential feature is still alive ;)

I'd like to say that there are already websites that log all channels with the obvious exception of channels like #multiplayer, #spectator, etc.

Bumping if you have useful things to say is fine, don't worry.

Thank you for a link, Pawsu! I tried to look for a page like that, but looks like I stopped too quickly, after finding a non-updated page :)
