Rubber domes.
No, really, use whatever switches you like.
I find browns to be the most comfortable to type on so rather constantly breaking keyboards with reds I've settled for those.
Ultimately you're relying on your fingers to press fast enough, any switch will do and I'd rather you pick something nice overall than crappy reds just in hopes of streaming faster.

If you're going from rubber domes/scrissors straight to reds theres going to be a bit of a learning curve and at first it'll probably feel less accurate but don't give up, just get used to them and you're golden. (some actual skill required)Kyuukyuusha wrote:

I don't know if it's any different with other switches, but it doesn't matter since you already made your choice.

Practice how to practice so you can practice while practising
Play long streams, short streams, medium streams, fast streams, slow streams, streams at your speed, Also, play long maps that are 3+ minutes long. Just playing the game on a regular basis will increase your stamina alone but streaming with probably increase it the most to a point.Kyuukyuusha wrote:

Literally everything is practice, don't be afraid to randomly switch things up (like trying new z and x keys, different hand position, etc), you may find you like it more than before. Also for timing, I try to focus primarily on tapping to the beat of the song (not the approach circles) while moving my mouse/pen more absent mindedly.

Staiain is just an extraordinary person. If extraordinary means playing Stepmania like a madman for five years only with the goal of becoming really damn fast and ending up becoming the fastest Stepmania player ever.
Maybe it's possible for you to try some switches by visiting friends, that use one of the 4 switches.
