Is using BPM to double the SV of a slider *directly* prohibited within the RC?

what stops you from using a green line?

answering, if its really fast, then you could use a red line since there's no effect in game except in nightcore, but if the slider is short, then is not so relevant (a green line would be better, obviously)

or you could map it another way

I've seen older Ranked maps using variable BPM that's simply half/double of original ones to achieve such effects. But probably for this case, it's potentially unrankable for mapsets because you need to have the inherited timing to be consistent across difficulties. It's not by direct means, so if your argument holds up, it's passable. Nightcore support/compatibility is not required though.

But well, there is this discussion about the same topic. Probably the RC/guidelines will change soon or late, but I can see this to open up more creativity in mapping scene.

technically you can, the rules don't say anything against, but it's better to use inherited points (green lines) to double the bpm
