Yeah, using a track pad is probably harder to use for most people; it seems like using a mouse would be more fluid and natural. However, if it works for you than you shouldn't change your style~

At the same time however, after 6 months of consistent play and a playcount of more than 10,000, I would expect your rank to be better. to be blunt, a rank of #42,354 is hardly considered "pro". So perhaps a track pad is preventing you from getting better. In the end, it's up to you, but if I were you, I would consider playing with a mouse or getting a tablet.

I can pass Insanes on trackpad, but I still find mouse to be much easier (and this is coming from a tablet player). A trackpad (with mouse acceleration disabled) will be actually more accurate than a lot of mice to some extent (due to sensor acceleration and such), but IMO trackpads are too small to be practical. You'll likely see improvement if you at least switch to an accurate mouse (i.e. the Logitech G400).
