I'm suggesting this because some maps use both 1/4 and 1/6, where there's no option to snap to those. Is it possible to then have a 1/12 snap? (just the resnap option, but not as a normal editor snap -- just the one that appears on the timing setup panel as the "Resnap to New Timing")

Temporarily double the BPM.
I don't think any music uses 1/12 ligitimately, so I doubt it would be added as a snapping thingy.

You are doing it wrong, in short.
I thought of this at one point.
Usually, though, all you'll see is a mixture of 1/3 and 1/2, which can be snapped to a 1/6 without problems.
Your BPM is probably half of what it should be.
You could also resnap each section at a time.

It doesn't need to be in the slider in the editor, just in Timing Setup.
Don't forget 1/24th snap for when using 1/6th and 1/8th together
