i know it's just "play more" but i genuinely do not know where to start as a kinda experienced 4k player

this really depends if you can press the notes with confidence. if you're able to hit notes without tapping the wrong keybind then just play a lot of 2-3 stars and work you way up. I start with 1 stars to get used to using ring and thumbs. I suggest you do the same if you aren't confident yet. Try other 7k games as well such as BMS or O2JAM. Don't forget to try loved songs as well

For 7k i would recommed to play it from times to times, you will see a huge preigress this way and you won't be suffering from anxiety of getting on hard maps, so keep playing 4k and 7k if you can and if you want

HT is a suuuuper useful mod, since there's not as much maps you can slow down some harder ones and introduce yourself to more patterns, also bms converts are really good to play

Yeah HT is super good. I wouldn’t have been able to hit 7k notes correctly if it wasn’t for HT. Too bad I main 4k.

I'm still a noob myself (just starting to get into low 3 star maps for 7k), but I found auto converts to be helpful in the beginning (<2 stars). Once you gain finger independence there are lots of good 2 star maps to start learning more complex patterns.

very useful for beginners, also bms converts are amazing for practice because of its charting style and for 7k lns o2jam converts is the key

Don’t focus on it too much honestly. Play both 4K and 7K. If you focus solely on 7K than you have a high chance of burning out and just quitting it.

50/50 take IMO. Ig you could say the same for 4k but if someone wants to keep playing 7k i see no problem

I vouch for this. Hahahah. Also try other game modes if you are feeling burned out.

I'm a noob myself tho. I also just play the same maps every day until I can S them before I challenge myself for higher diff.

Yep, been there. 7k tires me out way faster than 4k does, and because of the larger amount of patterns to memorize and steeper learning curve you may also feel overwhelmed. During my 7k training sessions, I switch between 4k, 5k, and 6k as well as a way for me to "breathe" for a bit.
