Let us use pirate flags. Lichess, one of the most popular online chess sites, lets users do this. We should be able to as well.

You can keep your country ratings; just let pirates have their own leaderboard, the pirate ranking.

actually a good idea, best for people who really want to avoid being doxx and an ok compromise for people who's forced to use vpn to play the game, now that flag change is impossible
