Question about my first mapping

As mentioned, I just new to mapping and I am not very understand how to calculate the difficulty. I have make two map which is on 2.81 *(hard) and 4.26*(insane) . yet the one hard is more hard than I think and the insane one is also weird. Would anyone give me some ideas?

sr is just sucks in general for osu! instead if naming the diffname cuz of the sr, name the diffname because of the elements presented in the diffs, you can check osu's ranking criteria for those elements

furthermore, a thing worth taking into consideration is sr only takes into consideration aim, rhythm, sometimes sliders and some paramaters such as circle size. which means reading-heavy/low AR stuff for example has a SR lower than expected and is not representative of its difficulty.

to answer your question, as long as you have a mp4 file, you can start mapping immediately

if you don't mind song choices, go to the feature artist listing to find pre-timed osz files for feature artist song
