it seems like the beatmap listing systems is a bit screwed up. I can't seem to be able to sort it in the way I want to. Though it might be possible if I understand what all the tags mean in the URL.
So, whenever you switch from ranked to rating or to plays your settings at the top always switch. So if I wanted to sort by plays with only osu mode it doesn't actually work.
Them problem is that the ranked, rating, plays, difficulty tabs (sorts) all have priority and the parameters also has priority too. Which doesn't make sense. So, the parameter filters only work for the ranked page. And the reason I don't like the ranked page is that I could already do the Ranked and Approved parameter but I want it to be able to sort via popularity not date added to ranked.
So, currently you're unable to sort via filter and also how you want to sort it. You can only filter ranked results, or use default filters for the other sort methods.
I think that the solution would be simple (sort of). I don't know how you would implement but from other sites I know that filters should have priority over the sorts. This way after you have your filter parameters and then you can also choose sorting for those filter parameters. This makes a lot of sense.
