So after reading this tweet from peppy, I was thinking it might be useful to allow mappers to add a note that will be displayed before gameplay on their maps... Something like this:
Now, I know this idea might be terrifying to some people. (especially people who hate that banner) However, I thought of this idea specifically with storyboards and special maps in mind. (The ones where the mapper suggests 0% bg dim and storyboard enabled). It could read some things like:
With this there is also potential to allow mappers "custom messages" too but that might be more trouble than it's worth since it would then have to be moderated. And players probably wouldn't like having to see it every time they play the map. Also it's not necessary because mappers can pour their heart out in the beatmap description instead.
