[Archived] Screen blinking at the start of a map

Problem details: My screen blinks at the start of a map and shows the pause screen for about 50-100ms I'd say. For the past two weeks I've been having this bug. Some things that I found weird are that it only happens when I play a map for the first time that session, it also seems to disappear when having OBS open for some reason, when I tried to record it. It's pretty annoying because it doesn't always happen right before the map, but sometimes 1-5 notes in. I've tried changing from cutting edge to stable, changing FPS "modes" (optimal, unlimited etc).

found out it only happens when opening osu after i opened discord

Try disabling Discord's in-game overlay perhaps.

nevermind, it isn't a discord issue, honestly it happens so randomly that I don't think I'll find the proper cause

edit: compatibility mode solved it for some reason

hey did you find a solution ? I have pretty much the same issue. I alt tab from the game then tab in again and play a map and the screen becomes black for like 50-100 ms.
