I have bad finger control on my right hand in general but it's worst on my index. Usually I get around this because I constantly lean back and forth with my hand to hit patterns, it works fine, until I get a pattern where that isn't feasible like a trill or anchor. If for example a trill starting on ring finger appears I sometimes outright fail the pattern because my index physically doesn't reach far enough to press the key. I'm pretty helpless on this issue that has been persistent since I started playing.
