How do i delete a note or slider

How do i delete a slider? I tried the delete key but that does nothing ( I was in select )

Also to OP: Delete key does also delete the object (tho right click can be more convenient), maybe you did miss something?

i think what they missed is that you need to select the object before pressing delete, being in select mode isn't magic

select the object, and then press del(ete) on your keyboard, or right-click it.
