How can I NOT widescreen a video?

I want to make the vid fullscreen that has black bars or something, what's worse is that I can't see the whole video.. x(

Whether the video has black bars or not depends on the resolution of the video as well as whether you got widescreen support enabled or not. For example if you download a vid in 4:3 it will also display that way while playing/being in editor.

But I turned off widescreen support and the video is still at 4:3 resolution.

Widescreen support doesn't magically edit anything with your video resolution. It only adds pillarbox to the screen.

If you wanna have letterbox/pillarbox on the video to fit with the 16:9 resolution you pretty much need to edit the video yourself.
