Beatmapping isn't easy but getting it ranked is even harder. The current beatmap listing filters make it harder for Pending/WIP maps to get recognition as many players won't come across them unless they filter for them.
Along with this, the Graveyard is home to "abandoned" beatmaps whether it be from them not meeting the ranking qualifications or not enough recognition. After doing some digging I found that some of these beatmaps have really high ratings and play counts. These beatmaps usually sit there and are most of the time forgotten.
Changes to Default Category Filter (Option A)
This change involves changing the default filter options on the Beatmap Listing page. Simply changing the default category to Any will allow Pending, WIP or Graveyard beatmaps to gain recognition.
The Unrated Category (Option B)
This category is an alternative to the current Graveyard category for those who want to make beatmaps for others to play without it getting rated or ranked. Essentially it is a renaming of the Graveyard category.
