I would love to learn how to map and i have many songs in mind that would be really good, but I have no clue what I’m doing. Any tips and tricks, or anyone want to help me out?

one way to start mapping is to just start mapping. improvement or theory comes later, try to become familiar with the editor and the objects inside first.

here's a quick checklist on how you actually start mapping

1. get a song
2. time the song (you can use https://www.dropbox.com/s/ad02qxlh98pjnaz/TimingAnlyz%200.32.4.zip?dl=0 as a tool to check timing for songs that don't change timings too much i.e. constant metronome or bpm)
3. start placing objects to the beat

a. you can also start by looking at already ranked songs and try to make your own maps based on the existing one

after you finish mapping, you can head over to mapping discords or modding queues for feedback. its also good to have someone be mostly available too look at your maps (mentors and stuff) so you might want to sign up for the next mentorship.
