Tips for new mappers
So you want some tips huh..... Well here are some
- Most important one is Don't expect you're first map to get ranked even you're second or third. Its just like playing. You need map more to get more experience or do some collab or make gd with other mappers to improve your mapping skills. You can also watch youtube videos like pishifat's mapping videos they should help you learn the basics on mapping and on how to use the editor.
- Take inspiration on other mappers. If you started mapping cause you got inspired by other mappers you should take inspiration from them. You could learn how the objects are placed on their maps and you should replicate it and add your own style to it. Also dont try to fully copy a mappers mapping style.
- Dont map songs that are not in you're skill range. My god, Ive seen some new mappers there who go into extreme bounds when it comes to mapping songs. Some new mappers tend to map marathon songs like those 7 min ones please avoid mapping those songs if you're inexperienced. I've done that once before and i regretted it. It will just kill you're mapping motivation.
- Try to map simple anime tv size, 180 bpm, drum and bass songs, it will help the foundation of you're mapping style and skill.
