Can somebody give me a tutorial on how to make a beatmap?

I was trying to make a map for this epic song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRejS-izaZo&t=22s But then I realized: I'm a total idiot. I literally know nothing about making good beatmaps that can actually get ranked. Can someone help me make a beatmap and actually give me a tutorial?

Unfortunately, beatmap requests are not allowed on any forum. You can ask that to your close friend or other mappers.

go map something first

your first maps will suck with or without a tutorial so it doesn't really matter, mapping a song or three will make you improve way more than any amount of watching or reading tutorials at this point

you'll also get way more out of tutorials and other mapping-related content with some mapping experience under your belt, if you've never touched the editor the things you'll hear in a tutorial won't stick in your head and most of your time watching/reading will be wasted

its mostly just experimentation... u play around with the mechanics until you get a hold of them
You start most maps by timing them first, and I know the whole timing thing is confusing for a lot of beginners in mapping.. for this you can use the featured artist maps cuz theyr'e already timed, so you only have to map them
