How much does downloading a lot of beatmaps help in improvement in general?

really depends.
having a large variety of beatmaps if useful for learning pattern recognition and variety.
on the other hand sometime playing too many different styled beatmaps can lead to some bad habits due to the nature of some maps.
doesn't hurt to download them anyways no harm in that.

honestly having a lot of downloaded maps can actually be a bit beneficial because you dont need to play the same maps over and over again.

i find myself playing the same maps because im running out, and it doesnt look like im improving at all so think its best to have many maps, but not toooo many

the only thing that matters is pattern variety and the easiest way to solve it is downloading a lot of maps, but just more of the same doesn't matter like having 300 js files isn't as good as only have 100 files of varying styles

idk i had lot of beatmap on old pc now i have less but am improving faster maybe it depends on the type of the maps
