Alot of people have been requesting for stuff like playing on beatmaps while fighting against "This guy" or "That girl" or whatever, and we'd always get the same words from ppy: Storyboard it.

And that got me thinking, why don't we? Problem is that there are no storyboarding layers that go above the playing field. So why not add this? Maybe not a great idea, but I need some opinions. Plz?

I can't say I like the idea of allowing players to cover vital game play elements, especially in maps that have to be playable across 4 different games. Opens a giant can of worms and detracts from the game itself, imo.

That being said, I suppose you could technically use an transparent skin element for the hit circles and storyboard in the notes on a lower layer to get the same-ish effect, with a little creativity?

Still don't think it's a great idea though, other than for some troll maps. (I know I'd just make a map where kittens just jump onto your notes and steal them before you can hit them.)

The purpose was not to have hit circles taken away, relocated or anything. Just visual interference. :)
