currently playing in the 3*-3.99* range, and find myself struggling to get above 95% acc, should i just go back to 2*? or should i just find more 3* maps to practice on?

or just general pointers on what progression on 7k looks like

Just play more 3* maps (preferably with Random mod for more pattern variety), acc is less relevant for 7K than it is for 4K

Time flies fast doesn't it?

Just keep pushing accuracy on the SR you're at right now. Like gamesnake said, it's not as accuracy based (although you shouldn't ignore it ofc), so focus more on hitting patterns. This is why BMS helps so much for rice improvement, because the awkward patterns are difficult to hit so you have to actually focus on hitting it all instead of mashing. Works on finger independence, accuracy, speed, etc.

For now just play a variety of maps and try to hit the hard patterns instead of mashing through.
