Slider velocity and length

How can I make sliders go faster/slower without changing the length? I've seen a lot maps with sliders that have twice as fast slider velocity but still have the same length of a normal one. When I increase my slider velocity it also increases in length. How I make it remain the same as a normal slider?

you'll need to decrease the time it takes up on the timeline.

a 1/1 slider at 1x SV will be the same length as a 1/2 slider at 2x SV, but the 1/2 slider will be faster, since it lasts for a shorter time.

it probably wont fit your rhythm choice if you are trying to do this to already mapped out rhythms, but that's how SV works. speed = distance/time

I see, so it won't last the same time as a 1/1 slider but it will have the same length if on a 1/2 beat and goes faster. Can't have all three at once huh. Thanks for the explanation! ^^
