Why the fire effect was removed?

you can manually add it back in the osu!.<user>.cfg file
search for combofire and change it to combofire: 1

He said it in #osu I even asked him a long time ago how the fire effect was made and he said he wanted to replace it.

well, looks like it's gone and not coming back. i wonder if the option in the .cfg will disappear soon as well
