oh sup forgot to post this here

Audiosurf's this cool independent game that takes a music file from your computer and converts it into a 3D track, which you then try to collect blocks on... hell, it's really hard to describe, just try it. It won't be free when it comes out, but this weekend's a beta weekend where you can play for free.

Beta weekend 2's over, uploading Beta 1 offline version. The only big differences is no Mono Pro, Ninja Mono can't jump, and Pointman Elite doesn't have shoulder areas.

Oh, and obviously no leaderboards.

I found out about this game a few days ago when using stumbleupon, but I haven't played it yet. I may buy it when it comes out next month, though. :)
Edit: I found a working beta version here. (it only lets you play one of your songs, but to play more, you can just reinstall the program.) All I can say is... THIS GAME IS AMAZING! :O I'm definitely going to buy the full version when it comes out.

Audiosurf is going live this Friday the 15th via Steam. $9 if you preorder, $10 anytime after. Doesn't sound like much was changed after this last beta period.

Played the demo. I have to say, it's fun, and I'm tempted to buy it. 10 bucks is a decent price considering that it includes the Orange Box Soundtrack, which also costs 10 bucks. I have too many other games to play lately, and even more major ones in the near future, but I'll probably buy Audiosurf eventually.

I was pretty impressed by AudioSurf's interpretation of "Queen" by Ram-Zet - the track bumpiness of the chords after the chorus was a brilliant touch.
