Searching beatmap with only 2 letters

There's many artists and singers who only have 2 letters in their name. For example xi and L3 would come to mind.
Is it impossible to have this or why isn't it already implemented?

I can't find the thread but iirc adding the possibility to look up 2 characters words would seriously affect search performance. For the moment, you can still use Google Custom Search when needed.

I'll edit my post if I find the thread.


edit: found it. My bad, it's not a performance issue, it's just a limitation of the current system. See t/45399 and t/115809
